Monday just before Passover, Maj.-Gen. Aharon Haliva, head of the IDF Military Intelligence Directorate, announced he is retiring from the IDF. He made the move official after submitting a resignation letter to IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi.The IDF confirmed Haliva’s retirement, stating it was a decision made in collaboration with the Chief of Staff and with the approval of the Minister of Defense, with plans for an orderly succession process.
In his resignation letter, he took responsibility for events on October 7th and pledged to work toward achieving the war’s objectives.
